We did the Riverton 10K route and met at my house to start--there were about 16 of us, and it was very fun! Michelle and Julie and I did a progressive tempo. After a warm-up of three miles we did 2 miles at 8:30 then 2 miles at 8:00 (at least we tried! some were faster and some were slower by a little bit). Then we cooled down the last couple of miles. We plan to increase our miles that we do at 8-minute pace, since that is our goal pace for the marathon. However, I have my reservations that I can do that pace for the entire marathon! |
