Progressive tempo run at Gardner Village trail. 2 miles warm-up (averaged 9 minute miles), then 2 miles at marathon pace plus 30 seconds (8.5 minute miles) then 4 miles at marathon pace (tried for 8 minute miles, but did a couple at about 8:06, one at 7:50, and one at 8:16, so they probably averaged to about 8 minute pace), then one more at 8.5, then one at almost 9 to cool down.
Felt like a good run, although I still have reservations about trying to run that fast for the whole marathon. I don't know if I will be at that point yet! |
